Ceberet is a gigolo who hits the lotto and buys a beautiful country house. He takes his protégé Jane to meet her. On the way, they fall out over a nonsense, Jane threatens to kill herself, throwing herself in front of trucks. In fact it's pure farce, she really likes to be beaten. They end up getting along.
